Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Alfonso Camacho has his eyes illuminated by a black light after fluorescenin drops were applied during an exam in the medical department aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. Fluorescenin is used to detect problems on the cornea and damage or irritation on the cornea’s surface appears green under the black light.
